On April 28th, 2021, the city of Phoenix held the 9th annual Phoenix police officer memorial. This year the memorial was held virtually. The video could be seen on multiple social media platforms including the Phoenix police department's YouTube page. We invite you to take a moment and honor the 40 fallen Phoenix Police Officers by watching the video produced and the recorded ceremony by the Phoenix Police Department.

The Phoenix FOP Lodge 2 is currently in the process of making outgoing calls in an effort to raise funds for our upcoming Cops & Kids Back to School event. As you know, the National Fraternal Order of Police has sponsored the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and several events during the week including the Candlelight Vigil, since inception. ALL of us in public safety morn the passing of Commander Carnicle, and pray for the impacted families and speedy recovery of the two other heroes as they recover from their injuries. This is a solemn reminder that life is precious, and we never know when tragedy will strike. Tragic loss of Officer Paul Rutherford

The Rutherford family and the City of Phoenix experienced a tragic loss today March 21, 2019. Police Officer Paul Rutherford was struck and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of 75th Avenue and Indian School Road at 8:30 am. Officer Rutherford had been serving the City of Phoenix community for nearly 23 years.
He was handling a call for service across the street from the scene of an earlier accident he had responded to when he was struck. He was transported to a local hospital where ...
