FOP2 Holds Back to School Event
On Saturday July 31, Phoenix Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 2 held the back to school event. This event with the support of the community, the Phoenix Police Department and volunteers was able to host over 50 student ranging from elementary to high school. Officers Shot and Killed in 2021
The National Fraternal Order of Police reports that as of midnight on July 31, there have been 185 officers shot so far in 2021, 35 of whom were killed by gunfire. There have been 52 ambush-style attacks on law enforcement officers this year (+126% from 2020 YTD), which have resulted in 67 officers shot, 17 of whom were killed. Number of Officers shot reaches 128
The number of police officers shot in 2021 has reached 128, an uptick from the previous year, and the number of “ambush-style” attacks on law enforcement is particularly on the rise, according to the National Fraternal Order of Police.

Phoenix Officer Ginarro New – Lost on duty
On Monday night Phoenix Police Officer Ginarro New was killed in an automobile crash at the intersection of North Cave Creek Road and East Greenway Parkway at about 10:30 pm.His patrol car was struck by another vehicle that ran a red light at a high rate of speed.
