We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Officer Mark Aker who passed away from a medical event on-duty on May 10, 2023. He joined the department in 1994 and was assigned to the Maryvale Estrella Mountain Precinct.

It with a heavy heart Lodge 2 expresses our support for his family and fellow officers. This comes only a day after Sgt. Tim Wheeler died at his home having suffered a medical crisis. Wheeler joined the department in 2007.  Both left behind family, our thoughts and prayers at such a sad time.
